This year's tour took us to the 'Spanish Algarve' or Costa de la Luz where we were based at the El Rompido golf resort. The resort has two newish courses called imaginatively, 'North' and 'South' and we played each one. By general consensus the 'South' was the better - 'North' was very new and somewhat immature, and a very long walk from the hotel for those without a buggy.
Very nice, smart, modern hotel but a long way from the bright lights for those who wanted some evening excitement. Some got a very different sort of thrill when they experienced a very long and expensive taxi ride to nothing-special, acting on the advice of the hotel barman (and his well placed relations!)
For some reason all the photographic evidence of the tour seems to have gone astray so all we can record here are the scores and congratulate Chris Charlesworth for coming out the winner over the two days.
