RESULTS
Our esteemed Captain once again arranged hot (very hot!!)and sunny weather complete with a warm gusty wind to put us to the test on this demanding course. Hard bouncy fairways lined with big trees and deep undergrowth, ending in small greens, added to the challenge, which proved costly for many of the players, eleven balls in one case ....... and keen 'competition' for Mr Blobby!
But the real golfers showed their class. Lance Tomlyn secured the inappropriately named Autumn Plate with a great back nine of 21 points to just edge out Andy Rhodes on countback, both scoring a total of 36 points. For Andy this was a welcome return to form, running Lance very close with an equally strong back nine of 20 points.
Also worthy of mention is Jerry Fitchett who came in third with a really excellent 32 points.
